The South Western Lake District has a reputation for exceptional local produce. From the original Cumberland sausage produced using spices imported to Whitehaven harbour in the 18th Century to award winning ales produced in our local breweries and served in our cosy pubs.

Beer ‘n’ Bangers is a celebration of our local breweries and sausage makers. Previous events have included 22 venues each serving fresh locally made produce for you to visit. Spend the night in our warm and welcoming guest accommodation and awake to a delicious Cumbrian breakfast.

‘Walk-off’ the night before with one of the self-guided walks available locally and discover the origins of our Beer ‘n’ Bangers with a brewery tour and cookery demonstration.

Explore the rugged gems our area has to offer from the idyllic Duddon valley, the dramatic Black Combe massif to coastal nature reserves and a spectacular, award winning coastline with endless opportunities for walking, cycling, and bird watching.

Venues are being planned in Millom, Broughton in Furness, Duddon Valley, The Green, Bootle, Waberthwaite and Ravenglass.
